Time Waits for No Man.
This summer, I’m became a grandfather for the first time.
It’s exciting! And it got me thinking: What kind of grandfather do I want to be?
I want to be there.
A participant, not just a spectator.
Running with him on the beach.
Wrestling on the floor.
Showing up at ballgames.
Helping him move into his college dorm. (Yes, it’s a boy.)
I did all that with his mom.
I was in my twenties then. And I remember how much energy that took.
Now I’m pushing 60.
It won’t be easy. But I’m still in for it.
I’ll be in my 80s, maybe even 90s, when he graduates, gets married, and maybe has a child of his own.
But I want to be there for all of it.

That’s the problem most people don’t see until it’s too late: The future is already on its way.
The only question is:
Will you be fit enough to enjoy it?
Or will you be watching from the sidelines… or worse, not there at all?
Life doesn’t wait for you to get in shape.
It just… keeps going.
You’ve Tried. And Tried. And Tried Again.
You’ve started before.
And you stopped.
So many times that you’ve started to wonder…
“Maybe I’m just destined to be an old, fat woman.” (or man.)
That’s a direct quote from a client before she started.
But here’s the truth: You’re not.
It might not feel like it right now, but you’re not destined to be sick, tired, or overweight.
It’s a choice.
It always has been. You can choose the change.
Why It’s So Hard (and What to Do About It)
We’re wired to hate change.
- Our brains resist it.
- Our habits defend the status quo.
- And the longer we stay stuck, the harder it is to believe something else is possible.
But it is possible.
The difference isn’t willpower.
It’s support.
It’s structure.
It’s accountability.
That’s how you build momentum.
That’s how you stay consistent.
And that’s the key to becoming the person your future needs you to be.
You’re Not Broken. You’re Just Stuck.
If you’ve started and stopped more times than you can count… I get it.
You’re not lazy.
You’re not weak.
And you’re definitely not broken.
You’ve just been missing something.
Because most programs throw you into the deep end — strict rules, uncomfortable workouts, all-or-nothing thinking. Eat nothing and sweat the pounds out.
They make you expect instant change. You’re working so hard, shouldn’t the weight just fall off?
They don’t give you the structure, support, or accountability to make it stick.
So of course, it never lasts. And the pounds lost come back when you stop killing yourself.
You were set up to fail.
The Fit for Task Bootcamp Changes That.
It’s not a challenge. It’s not a crash course.
It’s a proven path, that’s helped hundreds of people over 40 finally get unstuck and stay consistent.

- Retest results:
- 20 min walk, 11% pace improvement, and 12% longer distance.
- Squats were pretty surprising to me. I had 100% improvement compared to initial ones.

My wins from the previous week:
- Being able to get back into my fasting schedule after Easter. I had let my eating slide too much and was having a hard time getting it under control.
- Even though i didn’t feel like walking after every meal, I did it because I knew the health benefits.
- I created an accountability group for my eating. Although I have not made meaningful changes to my diet, the group is there and seeing my current eating patterns.
